This Is Tailoring at Topman
Topman as a brand hardly needs a lengthy introduction from us. For years now Topman has been a top choice among most of us as that go to high street store for trendy and affordable outfits. They have always maintained a strong reputation for their finger on the pulse, up to date trends, with new imaginative styles available with each new season.
Take a walk around any university city in the U.K and you will undoubtedly see chic young students setting new trends year round, glad in gear produced by Topman.
As summer is almost in full swing, it brings with it a flurry of weddings, summer proms, after work parties and a long list of other social events where you shall find yourself needing to look your absolute best. A fresh new suit is a necessity at most of these gatherings and you can guarantee that Topman has your back when it comes to getting you suited up this summer. If you are looking for a stylish yet very affordable new suit then look no further than Topman as it introduces it’s latest formal wear range for the Spring / Summer 2016 season.
The second in a series of ‘THIS IS ’ campaigns – this new line will showcase a fresh youthful product silhouette, versatile enough for the workplace and stylish enough for notable events on your calender this summer.
This two part campaign launched initially as ‘THIS IS SUITING ’ on the 21st of April, cemented Topmans’s position as a leading option in work wear for the modern man. With the ‘£100 Suit’ already a highly credible offer in this category, new colour options including neutral shades of stone, pale grey and blue expand upon an already winning formula.
In addition, summer suits for £160 are now available in a cropped trouser length and in core work wear colours across slim, skinny and ultra – skinny fits.
The second half of the campaign was introduced on the 19th of May – ‘THIS IS TAILORING’ encapsulates the mood of the season as summer events begin to kick off. This installment of the campaign showcases the perfect tailored look for prom, weddings and any summer occasion. With a classy nostalgic nod to the 1970’s, the double-breasted suit is reestablished as a hero style for the season. Included in a limited edition range of premium suits these styles are constructed from 100% wool, sourced from distinguished European fabric mills – featuring real horn buttons with fully functioning cuffs. This is a great suit in many ways, keeping your look classic with an interesting edge.
One great thing about a Topman suit is that you can often find many occasions to pull it out of the wardrobe, long after the event that you originally bought it for. Don’t be afraid to break up your suit to get the most out of wearing it! You actually can make even more outfits. Wear your suit jacket with different trousers, or wear the trousers with a light evening sweater. Just don’t try and match the colour of the alternate trousers to the suit jacket—that only ends in tragedy. Go with a gentle contrast, like grey trousers with a navy suit jacket. Subtle contrasts like that create quite the complimentary pair.
Trousers make an excellent substitute for a pair of jeans or chinos, and add a less casual vibe to sneakers or street-ready items like coach jackets. In the same token, a blazer can dress up a bold floral shirt or a light-washed pair of denim. When you inject a welcome dose of classic tailoring into any outfit, it makes the entire look stand out in a way that tells everyone else you totally know what you’re doing. When the weather’s warm in the spring and summer, lightweight blazers and trousers are especially helpful in taking your wardrobe to that sweet spot in between too casual and fully formal. Looking sharp and well put together without being overly serious.
In keeping with tailoring tradition the three piece suit, in slim and skinny fits has been re-imagined in new ‘warmer handle textures’.
For the summer season colour is key with a pallet focusing on ‘summer neutrals’ such as pale blue, stone, sand and ash grey. The white suit is another collection highlight available in both single and double-breasted versions sure to inspire those looking to make a high fashion statement this summer season. With further options available in linen fabrics and more styles available in core colours; black, navy and grey – Topman builds upon existing staples to create a comprehensive offering that resonates with their audience.
Price points range from £100 up to £250 for limited edition styles, the collection will be available in stores. To check out the full range visit TOPMAN.com
